3 Still-Singles
So last night was spent hanging out with Johnny and Mingxing at Cineleisure. Dinner at Sakae Sushi was not bad and talk was mostly on work, which for Johnny means finding the right job and for MX, the opening of her company's bouquet store in Cineleisure next month.
After that, we went to the Old Town Coffee for some tea and coffee before MX had to go look at her store's renovations. There, the conversation turned to the question of fidelity in a relationship. This thing came up because of a friend that we know that has forgiven her ex when he was involved in a court case of bringing an underaged girl to a Hotel 81 a few years ago.
As usual, the 3 of us has very different views on this question of being loyal to your partner. While MX has this weird notion that all people are unfaithful and she would close one eye on any affairs her partner have, she could not forgive SJ's ex because the girl he tried to take advantage of is underage.
Johnny's logic is more understandable. His stand for not forgiving SJ's ex is because he had did something wrong while still being attached to SJ. Johnny feels that if he had done it while being single, he would be doing a lesser wrong.
While I agree with the both of them to a certain extend, I feel that that everyone has something that they regret doing and should be given a second chance. Sure, he did something bad and screwed up SJ's life but since SJ can forgive him for that one transgression, it proves that she feels that he can be trusted again.
After that, the other topics discussed was more or less about what we expect of future wives and husband. Looks like Johnny plans to get married after 33, which I think might be a bit late for him, since he's already financially sound. And MX admitted that she's feeling the pressure of getting a partner since she's already 26 this year.
Oh well, since they already have plans, I'm sure they'll do fine. It's not like the world is lacking singles anyway. xD
