Goodbye Layheng!
Today is the last day of my colleague, Lay Heng. As a part of the server team in our project, Lay Heng has been a very valuable member, excellent friend and a great senior to me. His incredible positivity has helped me through in many difficult situations. That was why the current command centre team plus Eujin, Choonseng, Jeanette, Stella, Nairice, James and Jinyan had a big party at the K-Box at Mount Faber.
After the 14 of us cramped into the room, the manager of K-Box upgraded us into a great room with the karaoke system with 3 big LCD screen, a POOL TABLE, a PS3 and a computer! After that, everything turned into a big party where there were people doing everything at once. Singing KTV, playing pool, playing PS3 and PC, drinking, TCSS and a very special interest in the activities that Layheng and Jinyan were engaging.
Layheng and Jinyan met for the first time officially last night but Layheng already has his eyes on her since about 2 years ago when he saw her at a company function. Since Stella is a colleague of Jinyan, she was specially brought ago to meet Layheng. xD
As it is, they hit it along very well! As only Jinyan has not been in the ITSS project, she only knew Stella but Stella was busy playing pool most of the time. That's when Layheng was encouraged to spend more time with Jinyan so she would not be bored. > D
Even after the event ended at 2am, Layheng was nice enough to volunteer to escort Jinyan back. What a gentleman! xD It could be the start of a very good story here. A fitting going-away 'present' for Layheng. Good luck! Both for your next job and with Jinyan! > D
